All community members and city officials welcome! Be prepared to walk ~3.5 miles, bring walking shoes and water.
When: 12:00 to 2:00 PM, Sunday April 12th Where: Meet at the Intersection of Eastern Ave and Franklin St. What: Plan to walk up and down Eastern Ave from Franklin St. to Lynn St. About 3.5 miles round trip.
April Meeting, Ward Breakout Groups + Walk Audit Planning
We will be doing something a little different form our general in person meeting this month. We will be utilizing our hour together in break out groups from each Ward to review what our MSS Walk Audit has already covered and what is missing. As Ward groups, the hope is to have you all divide and conquer every street in this city. We will do a follow up meeting in 2 months or so. We hope your team will have met with your Ward councilor to discuss your priorities by the time we have the follow up meeting and report back to the large MSS group.

February Meeting
Note: Meeting Change To Virtual Only due to Weather
Hi Advocates,
Although the weather remains a bit frightful, the need for safe streets (and cleared sidewalks, crosswalks, and bike lanes) persists. For our meeting on Monday February 23rd Scott Kilcoyne from BCU Labs will be joining us to talk about how they transform data into compelling activism and how to make tools that are accessible and useful for everyone in our community. Recently they've been working on a Bike Stress Map which uses data to help people identify bike routes which they will feel comfortable on and which can be used as a tool for advocacy work. Right now it only includes Boston, Somerville, Brookline, and Cambridge but Scott will share plans for how this map could grow to include Malden! As a reminder here are the meeting details:
When: Monday, February 23rd, 6:30pm - 7:30pm
Where: Virtual Only. Link to Meeting: meet.google.com/ydc-zpvb-ope
Contact: Noah Tuke, [email protected], 302-387- 5023
Please RSVP to add the virtual meeting link to your calendar!
I've attached a draft agenda, some topics we plan to discuss beyond the guest speaker include a report on a new bike rack at Idle Hands, bus drivers for Walking Wednesdays, and how the prop 2 1/2 ballot override connects to safe streets.
See everyone there!
