Malden Safe Streets is a community-based organization committed to making Malden as accessible as possible for all people. We believe that the ability to walk, bike, or roll around the city safely should be a right and that making the city more accessible builds community, drives economic development and improves quality of life for everyone. Our mission is to organize our community to support safe, well-designed streets, advocate for public transportation, and encourage smart growth that supports access to homes, businesses and open space for all.
We strive to encourage all Malden residents to use their voices and work together to get their ideas, hopes, and projects achieved. We've grown quite a bit since our first meeting, and are grateful to have support from every neighborhood in Malden. We meet monthly with a group of 20 to 30 regular attendees, and always welcome new members. The individuals listed below are Malden residents who are committed to driving our mission and facilitating community engagement by serving as our board of directors.
